MAYS LANDING — There is an overwhelming need to address the state of mental health and wellness in our college students, particularly following the global pandemic. In response, Atlantic Cape Community College is proud to announce a partnership with Uwill, the leading mental health and wellness solution that offers free immediate access to teletherapy, a direct crisis connection, and wellness program through an easy to use online platform and crisis hotline.
“Uwill is a convenient way for our students, who may be suffering from the stresses of life and school to relationships and work, for example, to safely and securely speak with a professional counselor,” said Stacey Zacharoff, Senior Director, Center for Student Services. “The health and well-being of our students is paramount and this program offers support anywhere and anytime to those in need.”
This user-friendly program eliminates the stigma associated with admitting that one may have a mental health issue by creating a welcoming environment for students to openly speak with a counselor about their crisis without bias or judgment. Current Atlantic Cape students may access Uwill free of charge, with no insurance required, and with the peace of mind that Uwill’s licensed mental health professional counselors conduct their video, telephone, chat or teletherapy sessions privately, securely and confidentially.
