Her desire to enhance her knowledge of law specialties prompted her to pursue an Associate in Applied Sciences degree in Paralegal Studies from Atlantic Cape Community College in 2015. Mr. Williams owned a retail sports store in Smithville and opened his own business called Human Capital Resources, which recruited executives in banking and finance for key banks in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. He was the company’s CEO for 30 years before retiring. Most recently, Mr. Williams, along with two fellow Atlantic Cape graduates who are also veterans, approached Atlantic Cape to endeavor a way to honor the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War at the college. He is working to raise funds to bring a replica Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall to Atlantic Cape for public display along with a series of commemorative events for veterans, their families, and the general public to enjoy.

About the President's Distinguished Alumni Award

Established in 2010, the President’s Distinguished Alumni Award has been presented annually to graduates of Atlantic Cape that have differentiated themselves through a combination of professional, academic, and community-based accomplishments and have also remained committed to supporting Atlantic Cape, its mission, and most importantly, its students.

Distinguished Alumni Award

The President's Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to Atlantic Cape graduates who have made significant contributions in their professional field, community, and/or through humanitarian service. A strong dedication to Atlantic Cape's mission, including giving back to support the college's student population, and legacy, is also a key factor in selecting recipients.

Young Alumni Achievement Award

This honor is bestowed upon an alumnus/a who is 40 years of age or younger and has excelled in his/her profession, made positive contributions to his/her community, and remained connected to Atlantic Cape while supporting its mission and values.

Community Service Award

This award is new for 2025 and serves to recognize an Atlantic Cape graduate who is making significant strides to improve their community through their work, volunteerism, and/or philanthropic efforts.
